Imagine the person as your favorite animal or a baby
I heard this tip from Stephen Dubner, who said when he gets annoyed with people on a crowded street in New York City, he imagines the face of a dog on each person’s face, and it makes him feel more positive than if he looks at their adult face. You might envision some other animal or character that makes you feel happy.
I think it might also work if you put a baby’s face on theirs. Babies make me smile.
